Tips
Washing/drying on the road
LDComfort garments are easily washed and dried by hand. Whether staying in a motel room or camping in the woods LDComfort readily rinses clean with water and any mild soap of your choice.
Simply immerse the garment in water, add some baby shampoo and massage the garment in the resulting suds. Rinse the garment thoroughly in clean water and wring to remove excess water. Lay the garment flat on top of a towel and roll the towel. Wring the garment and towel and the remaining moisture will transfer to the towel. Do this a couple of times and the garment will be ready for use. Any remaining moisture in the waistband will dry from body heat in about a ½ hour. (Do not use bleach or fabric softener.)
Hot weather/cooling
While riding in the hot weather of the southern deserts is risky for the uninformed it is possible to ride through temperatures into the triple digits if you know a couple of tricks.
One is to keep covered to avoid dehydration and another is to keep cooler using the evaporative properties of the LDComfort Riding Top. Simply pour some water around the collar, front, back and sleeves of the shirt. Notice how the garment's wicking property helps the water travel down the fibers throughout the Riding Top. Then open the sleeves to your outer jacket and unzip the front of the jacket about 25% to feel the cooling effect when you ride. If you become too cold while riding, (yes, even into the upper 90 degrees) simply zip up the front of the jacket to adjust the temperature. While you may have to replenish the water in your LDComfort Riding Top a few times, you can make it comfortably across the southern desert in the mid day heat.
